The book I have selected for February is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane written by Kate DiCamillo and illustrated by Bagram Ibatoulline. It is a children's book and a fairly easy read - which is nice since we won't have as much time between books this month. (I know a self-professed slow reader who read through it in about 3 1/2 hours). It was Boston-Horn Book Award winner and a Quills Awarded Nominee. The author also wrote Because of WInn-Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. (I haven't read either but I've seen advertisements for the movie adaptations - so someone must like them).
